EASY
- Visit the money tree, there just might be something good there;
- Sign up with the sponsers of Neopets, you can get a few thousand np this way;
- Play games like slots and blackjack, they aren't very hard and can be rewarding.
MEDIUM
- Buy stuff out of the main Neopian shops then sell them for a little more than what you paid;
- Keep an eye out for giveaways on the chat boards, some people are very generous;
- Look to join a guild that will help you out (like this one) Some guilds give you free stuff just by joining.
HARDER
- Invest in the stock market, you could make a fortune if you're good;
- Scout around for bargains in other players' shops, sometimes people have sales.
EXTRA NOTES ON NP
- Try to keep your points in the bank as much as possible so they can earn interest. Free money!
- You can find up to 2000np (plus other items like food, faeries, map pieces, codestones) just by playing on the Neopets site, so surf often and surf long!
- Galleries - If you're just starting out, it may not be the best idea to make a gallery as its a quick way to blow your points and you don't gain a lot from it. Wait until you are rolling in NP.
- Item Finds - If you're new and don't have very many NP, always sell any items you find. For example if you find a rainbow paintbrush, don't use it to paint your pet, there's plenty of time for that later. Instead, sell it and use the points to build up a good shop and you'll soon make more than the paintbrush was worth.
- Quests - If you're not interested in building your pet up for the battledome, don't waste neopoints on quests. You can always refuse them.
- Map Pieces - Sometimes completing the map will leave you with less than what you would have had if you'd sold the pieces individually. Some thing goes for Nerkmids, some are worth more before you use them.
- Shop Upgrades - Don't spend heaps and heaps of neopoints on shop upgrades if you aren't going to be able to keep it stocked full. Upgrading to a large store of say size 50 will cost you thousands and thousands of neopoints.
